Join the Fun – HOD is a Partner with Friendship Circle Atlanta for Hanukkah Party
Atlanta’s HOD lodges will partner with Friendship Circle Atlanta https://www.fcatlanta.org to sponsor and stage their annual Hanukkah Party for Special Needs (SN) kids and adults, Sunday, Dec. 22nd from 2 to 4pm, at The Home Depot 6400 Peachtree Dunwoody Rd, Sandy Springs, GA 30328.
FC caters to Jews of all ages and abilities to create an inclusive and accepting Jewish community. The Hanukkah party is open to the Jewish community, and HOD brothers and their families are invited to help with activities such as making Menorahs from scratch at a woodworking station, making candles and decorating donuts.
Friendship Circle emphasizes the inclusion of special needs kids – they are an important part of the community.
The event will conclude with a grand Menorah lighting.
HOD is looking for 20 volunteers to help with an expected 150 guests. We are looking for some volunteers to arrive at 12:30 p.m. to assist FC and help set up the arts & crafts booths. Others can arrive around 1:30 p.m. to help complete the set-up activity. Other volunteers can arrive during the party.
If you are creative and good with woodworking tools, decorative arts and other fun group activities, you can sign up by sending an email to Wor Bro Alan Wind AJWind1@yahoo.com indicating what you would like to do to help (or whatever they need) and when you can be there.
